our butterfly is a statewide nonprofit serving Ohio and Kentucky, dedicated to uplifting children, youth, families, and seniors through compassionate support, opportunity, connection, and holistic wellness. We are committed to strengthening communities by supporting single-parent households, addressing food insecurity, promoting life-skills development and job readiness, and expanding our impact through children’s mental health and emotional wellness initiatives.

We believe true transformation happens when immediate needs are met while long-term growth is nurtured. That’s why we operate through a hybrid model of support that combines crisis response with sustainable solutions, including:

• Grants, scholarships, and financial assistance that remove barriers to growth

• Strategic partnerships with trusted community organizations across Ohio and Kentucky

• Youth development programs focused on mentorship, emotional wellness, life skills, and opportunity
• Children’s mental health initiatives that create safe spaces for healing, resilience, confidence-building, and emotional support

• The Butterfly Seniors Program, fostering dignity, connection, and practical support for older adults

Through our Butterfly Seniors Program, we mobilize local high school volunteers to assist senior citizens with yardwork, home upkeep, and seasonal tasks that may otherwise go unmet. We also create meaningful intergenerational connections by bringing elementary-aged children together with nursing home residents for companionship, shared experiences, and emotional support.

As we continue to grow, our butterfly is expanding its work with children through wellness programming and mental health-focused initiatives designed to help young people build resilience, confidence, healthy coping skills, and strong emotional foundations for the future.

At our butterfly, we believe every stage of life matters. Childhood is a critical time where support, stability, and emotional wellness can shape an entire future, but connection, care, and opportunity should never stop with age.
