About Bandage Butterfly Disaster Relief

When the devastating Asheville floods impacted so many families in 2024, our founder was serving with another nonprofit organization. Seeing the overwhelming need, there was no hesitation. Family members came together, donations were collected from the community, supplies were loaded, and they traveled to the disaster area to provide support to families who had lost so much.

That experience reinforced a simple belief that continues to guide our mission today: when people are hurting, we show up.

Although our founder is no longer with that organization, the passion for serving families during times of crisis never faded. That experience became one of the inspirations behind creating Our Butterfly Foundation and launching Bandage Butterfly Disaster Relief.

Today, we are building a disaster relief program dedicated to responding when communities need us most. Our mission is to provide essential supplies, hygiene products, clothing, food, comfort items, and other critical resources to families recovering from natural disasters and other emergencies. We also strive to involve children, families, and volunteers in relief efforts, helping inspire the next generation to lead with compassion, service, and a commitment to helping others.

The photographs featured on this page were taken during our founder’s personal disaster relief efforts in Asheville in 2024. Family members who volunteered alongside the founder are also pictured. These images are shared to tell the story that inspired Bandage Butterfly Disaster Relief and the work we are building today through Our Butterfly Foundation.
